DTC Troubleshooting: B2248

DTC B2248:

HIP Power Supply Abnormal (more than 16 V)

1. Connect the HDS to the DLC How To Troubleshoot the AcuraLink (With AcuraLink (USA Models With Navigation)).

2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode. and then back to ON (II), or the ON mode.

4. Do the alternator and regulator troubleshooting Alternator and Regulator Circuit Troubleshooting.

Is the charging system OK?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Repair the charging system.�

5. Check for DTC with the HDS.

Is DTC B2248 indicated?

YES -

Substitute a known-good AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) AcuraLink Control Unit-XM Receiver Removal/Installation (With AcuraLink (USA Models With Navigation)), and recheck. If the problem goes away, replace the original AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver).�

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�
