DTC Troubleshooting: U0100
DTC U0100:
F-CAN Lost Communication with ECM/PCM
1. Connect the HDS to the DLC.
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode. and then back to ON (II), or the ON mode.
4. Check for DTC with the HDS.
Is DTC U0100 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 5.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the F-CAN communication line is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver).�
5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
6. Disconnect AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P).
7. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
8. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector A (49P).
9. Check for continuity between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminals No. 6 and No. 7 and ECM/PCM connector A (49P) terminals No. 49 and No. 48 respectively.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver). If all connections are OK, replace the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) AcuraLink Control Unit-XM Receiver Removal/Installation (With AcuraLink (USA Models With Navigation)).�
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) and the ECM/PCM.�
