Error code: XM NO SIGNAL is displayed (with navigation)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- Check the connectors for poor connection or loose terminals.
1. Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
3. Turn on the audio-navigation unit, and select XM radio.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -
Reception interference operation is normal.�
NO -
- USA models: Go to step 4.
- Canada models: Go to step 11.
4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
5. Check the XM antenna 2P connector and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector B (2P).
Are the connectors connected?
YES -
Go to step 6.
NO -
Reconnect the XM antenna 2P connector and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector B (2P), and recheck XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored, go to step 7.
6. Substitute a known-good XM antenna Removal and Replacement.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -
Replace the original XM antenna Removal and Replacement.�
NO -
Go to step 7.
7. Measure the voltage between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Go to step 8.
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the No. 15 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminal No. 1.�
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
9. Measure the voltage between body ground and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminals No. 2 and No. 3 individually.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Go to step 10.
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between No. 12 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminal No. 2, or repair an open in the wire between the No. 18 (7.5A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminal No. 3.�
10. Measure the voltage between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminal No. 28 and body ground.
Is there less than 0.2 V?
YES -
Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead. If the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) receives a signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) does not receive a signal, replace the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) AcuraLink Control Unit-XM Receiver Removal/Installation (With AcuraLink (USA Models With Navigation)).�
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminal No. 28 and body ground (G501) Harness Locations.�
11. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
12. Check the connection at XM antenna 2P connector and XM receiver connector B (2P).
Are the connectors connected?
YES -
Go to step 13.
NO -
Reconnect the connectors, and recheck XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored go to step 13.
13. Substitute a known-good XM antenna Removal and Replacement.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -
Replace the original XM antenna Removal and Replacement.�
NO -
Go to step 14.
14. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
15. Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Go to step 16.
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between audio-navigation unit connector C (14P) terminal No. 1 and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1.�
16. Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground.
Is there less than 0.2 V?
YES -
Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead. If the XM receiver receives signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the XM receiver does not receive signal, replace the XM receiver XM Receiver Removal/Installation.�
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between audio-navigation unit connector C (14P) terminal No. 11 and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11.�
