Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2607

DTC 2607: XM Diag

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first. Testing and Inspection

- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

1. Clear the hard error code. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back ON (II).

3. Check the Error History. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Is Hard Error 2601 indicated?
YES - Do the 2601 troubleshooting.

NO - Go to step 4.


4. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu. Navigation System Diagnostic Mode

5. Check the System Links.

Is the XM (HIP) or XM icon red?
YES - Go to step 6.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.


6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

7. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) and B (2P) or the XM receiver connector A (14P) and B (2P), and navigation display unit 28P connector.

Are there connections OK?
YES - Go to step 8.

NO - Repair poor connections or loose terminals.


8. Disconnect AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) or XM receiver connector A (14P), the navigation display unit 28P connector, audio unit connector E (14P), USB adapter unit connector A (14P), and the HandsFreeLink control unit 28P connector.

9. Connect AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) or XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals No. 30 [or No. 9] and No. 31 [or No. 10] with a jumper wire.















10. Check for continuity between navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 3 and No.17.

Is there continuity?
YES - Do the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver), or XM receiver troubleshooting (Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting).

NO - There is an open in the wire between navigation display unit and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) or XM receiver. Replace the affected shielded harness.
