Audio Unit Removal/Installation
With Premium Audio System

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Eject all the discs before removing the audio unit to prevent damaging the CD player's load mechanism.
- If you are replacing the audio unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio unit.
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system.
2. Remove the driver's center trim Dashboard Center Trim Removal/Installation and passenger's dashboard trim. Passenger's Dashboard Trim Removal/Installation
3. Remove the passenger's center trim Dashboard Center Trim Removal/Installation and center console panel. Center Console Panel Removal/Installation
4. Remove the climate control unit Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation, and center pocket. Dashboard Center Pocket Removal/Installation (Without Navigation)
5. Remove the bolts (A), then pull out the audio unit (B).
6. Disconnect the connectors (C), then remove the audio unit.
7. Remove the dashboard center vent. Dashboard Center Vent Removal/Installation
8. Remove the mounting screws and bolts (A) from the audio unit (B), then remove the audio unit from the audio switch panel (C).
9. Install the audio unit in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure all the connectors and the antenna lead are secure.
- Enter the anti-theft codes for the audio system.
10. Give the new anti-theft codes to the client if the audio unit is replaced.
