Lower Front Bumper Grille Replacement
Special Tools Required
- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*
*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857
NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the front bumper.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
1. Remove the front bumper. Service and Repair
2. Remove these items from the front bumper:
- Front air spoiler
- Front fog lights, both sides for some models Fog Light Replacement
3. Remove the clips, and release the hooks (B), then remove induction plate A from the front bumper (C).
NOTE: Release the clips by prying up on the center pin at the notch (D).
4. Remove the induction center plate (A) from the front bumper (B).
-1 Detach the clips from under the front bumper.
Remove the screws.
-3 Pull out the plate to release the hooks (C).
NOTE: Release the clips by prying up on the center pin at the notch (D).
5. Remove the screw, and release the hooks (A), then remove the left induction plate (B) and the right induction plate from the lower front bumper grille (C).
NOTE: The left induction plate is shown; the right induction plate is similar.
6. Remove the front bumper fog light covers from both sides.
7. Release the hooks (A, B), then remove the lower grille (C) from the front bumper (D).
8. Install the grille in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
