Rear Seat Belt Replacement

Rear Seat Belt

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.
- Check the front seat belts for damage Testing and Inspection, and replace them if necessary. Be careful not to damage them during removal and installation.

1. Remove the rear seat cushion and the rear seat-back Rear Seat Removal / Installation.

2. Remove the lower anchor bolt (A).





3. Remove these items:

- C-pillar trims, both sides Interior Trim Removal / Installation - Pillar Areas
- Rear shelf Service and Repair

4. Remove the retractor mounting bolt (A) and the retractor bolt (B), then remove the rear seat belt assembly (C).





5. Install the rear seat belt assembly in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Check that the retractor locking mechanism functions.
- Before installing the anchor bolt, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the rear seat belt.

Rear Center Seat Belt and Rear Seat Belt Buckles

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.
- Check the center seat belt for damage Testing and Inspection, and replace it if necessary. Be careful not to damage it during removal and installation.

1. Remove the rear seat cushion Rear Seat Removal / Installation.

2. Remove the center anchor bolts (A), then remove the right seat belt buckle (B), the center seat belt buckle (C), and the left seat belt buckle (D).






3. Remove the rear seat-back Rear Seat Removal / Installation.

4. Remove these items:

- C-pillar trims, both sides
- Rear shelf Service and Repair

5. Remove the upper anchor bolt (A).






6. Loosen the retractor mounting bolt (A), and remove the retractor bolt (B), then remove the center seat belt assembly (C).






7. Install the seat belt and buckles in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Check that the retractor locking mechanism functions.
- Assemble the washer on the center anchor bolt as shown.
- Before installing the center anchor bolt, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the center seat belt.
- Tighten the bolts by hand first, then tighten to the specified torque.
