Coolant Reservoir: Service and Repair

17 11 100 Removing And Installing/Replacing Coolant Expansion Tank (N55, N57 D30 U/O/T 0/1)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Drain coolant.
- Only for vehicles with the Dynamic Drive:
Remove left trailing link.

- Remove left intake port.
- Release expansion tank for Dynamic Drive and place to one side.







Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 17 10 3AZ.
Release and disconnect coolant hoses (2).
Raise expansion tank (3)







Unlock connector (1) on coolant level switch and disconnect.
Remove expansion tank (2).







Assemble engine.
Top up coolant.
Check cooling system for leak tightness.
