65 50 175 Replacing front trim panel for central information display (CID)

Special tools required:







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection).







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove Central Information Display







Release screws at marked points.
Tightening torque 65 50 3AZ.

NOTE: To tighten screws, use special tool 00 9 460.

Remove rear cover (1) from CID.







Detach adhesive tape fixation (1).

Installation note:
A new adhesive tape is included with the replacement part delivery.
Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.

IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage.
The wiring harness (4) can be crushed by the cover (3) at the position marked by the arrow.

Installation note:
The adhesive tape (1) of the wiring harness (4) must be applied before installation of the cover (3).







Release screws at marked positions.
Tightening torque 65 50 2AZ.

NOTE: To tighten screws, use special tool 00 9 450.

Feed out cable (2) from guides.

Installation note:
Ensure correct cable routing (2).
Raise latch mechanisms (1) carefully and remove CID (4) from trim (3).

Installation note:
Make sure latch mechanisms (1) are heard to click into place.
Make sure cover (3) is correctly seated on CID (4).
