32 41 430 Replacing ARS Expandable Hose Part 1 (From Vane Pump To Expandable Hose) N55
Special tools required:
WARNING:
Danger of poisoning if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin.
Risk of injury if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin.
IMPORTANT:
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Do not draw off hydraulic fluid (risk of contamination).
Close off line connections with seal plug 32 1 270
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable expansion tank.
IMPORTANT:
Pressure line and connections must be provided with suitable seal plugs 32 1 270 immediately after removal.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove fan cowl with electric fan
- Lower front axle support
Release screws (1) from flange.
Tightening torque 37 13 8AZ.
Release holder in front axle support (see arrow) of pressure line (2).
Tightening torque 32 41 12AZ.
Release holder (1) on front axle support on right.
Tightening torque 32 41 12AZ.
Undo screws (1) on rear line clamp on engine.
Undo nut (2) behind vane pump on transmission oil sump.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release hose clamp (2) and detach intake pipe from vane pump.
Undo screws (3) and pull expandable hose off vane pump.
Tightening torque 32 41 13AZ.
Release screws (4).
Tightening torque 32 41 14AZ.
Installation note:
Replace sealing rings.
Replace hose clamp (2).
Align intake pipe by way of "P" marking to connection on vane pump.
Make sure hydraulic lines are laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.
Remove expandable hose towards rear (transmission end)
IMPORTANT:
When assembling, make sure that in succession only the seal plugs of the line to be fitted are removed.
When fitting lines, do not tilt connectors (sealing rings.) and connect fully before screwing.
After installation:
- Carry out initial Dynamic Drive operation
- Check line connections for tightness
