32 41 090 Removing and Installing (Replacing) Vane Pump For Dynamic Drive
32 41 090 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Vane Pump For Dynamic Drive (N55)
NOTE:
When replacing vane pump:
Oil reservoir must be replaced in event of metal abrasion, sluggish pump shaft or increased wear.
The filter integrated in the oil reservoir can only absorb a limited amount of foreign particles. If the filter clogs, the hydraulic system can no longer be sufficiently protected.
Metal abrasion is perceived in the oil reservoir as metallically glittering hydraulic fluid.
Replacement of the oil reservoir due to a leak (e.g. at the hose connections) is only required with unavoidable high penetrations of dirt.
WARNING:
Danger of poisoning if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin.
Risk of injury if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin.
IMPORTANT:
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Seal off hydraulic lines with seal plugs.
IMPORTANT:
Aluminium screws/bolts must be replaced each time they are released.
Aluminium screws/bolts are permitted with and without colour coding (blue).
For reliable identification:
Aluminium screws/bolts are not magnetic.
Jointing torque and angle of rotation must be observed without fail (risk of damage).
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove stiffening plate (F12)
- Remove vane pump belt pulley
- Remove the electrical steering box
Release line clips (1) and (2) from front axle support.
Tightening torque 37 13 7AZ.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release hose clamp (2) and detach intake pipe from vane pump.
Loosen screws (3) and remove the expansion hose from the vane pump.
Tightening torque 32 41 13AZ.
Release screws (4).
Lay holder with expansion hose to one side.
Tightening torque 32 41 14AZ.
Installation note:
Replace hose clamp (2).
Align intake pipe by way of "P" marking to connection on vane pump.
Make sure hydraulic lines are laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 32 41 9AZ.
Installation note:
Replace aluminium screws.
Observe screwing sequence.
Loosen screws (1) and remove the vane pump in downward direction.
Tightening torque 32 41 9AZ.
Installation note:
Replace aluminium screws.
Observe screwing sequence.
Screw-fastening sequence:
1. Secure vane pump with screws
2. Tighten side screw to 2 Nm
3. Tighten front screws to 2 Nm
4. Tighten down front screws to jointing torque and angle of rotation
Tightening torque 32 41 9AZ.
5. Release screw at side and check bolting points for gap freedom
6. Tighten down side screws to jointing torque and angle of rotation
Tightening torque 32 41 9AZ.
After installation:
- Check line connections for leak tightness
- If necessary, carry out Dynamic Drive start-up
