SUBJECT: REDUCED THROTTLE RESPONSE DURING WARM-UP
MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 CENTURYS AND SOMERSET REGALS EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND 2.5L ENGINES (VIN CODES R AND U)
Sane 1985 Centurys and Somerset Regals equipped with the 2.5L engines and automatic transmissions may exhibit a sag in engine speed upon gear engagement after a cold start. Should such a condition be encountered that cannot be repaired by published service procedures, a new PROM may be installed (parts listed below).
