Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cables.
2. Remove accessory drive belts.
3. Remove crankshaft pulley and harmonic balancer.
4. Using tool BT-6406 or equivalent, remove front oil seal, Fig. 25.
5. Apply suitable sealant to outside diameter of new oil seal.
6. Using tool J-29659 or equivalent, install new oil seal, Fig. 26.
7. Install harmonic balancer and crankshaft pulley.
8. Install and tension accessory drive belts.
