Removal and Replacement
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.2. Disconnect T.V. cable at both ends.
3. Remove crossover pipe shield, then disconnect shift control linkage from transaxle.
4. Disconnect electrical connectors from Park/Neutral switch, [1][2]torque converter clutch and vehicle speed sensor.
5. Disconnect vacuum modulator hose from modulator.
6. Remove three upper transaxle to engine attaching bolts, then loosen transaxle to en9ine bolt at starter.
7. Install a suitable en9ine support fixture, then turn steering wheel to full left position.
8. Raise and support vehicle, then remove both front wheel assemblies.
9. Remove right front ball joint from steering knuckle, then the right drive axle from transaxle.
10. Remove left front and rear transaxle to cradle mounts, then the transaxle brace and brackets.
11. Disconnect speedometer cable from transaxle, then remove right rear transaxle mount, left stabilizer link and flywheel cover.
12. Mark relationship of flywheel to converter, then remove flywheel attaching bolts.
13. Remove rear cradle to front cradle attaching bolts, then one stabilizer brace and loosen opposite brace.
14. Remove front cradle to body attaching bolt.
15. Remove right front motor mount, then unfasten wiring harness cover from cradle and position aside.
16. Install a suitable transaxle support fixture, then shift cradle assembly aside and support with a suitable jack
17. Disconnect cooler lines, exhaust connector pipe, then the rear exhaust manifold.
18. Remove remaining transaxle to engine attaching bolts, then carefully lower transaxle from vehicle.
19. Reverse procedure to install.
