SUBJECT: INCORRECT VACUUM HOSE CONNECTION AT VACUUM REGULATOR VALVE (VRV)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 ELECTRAS EQUIPPED WITH 4.3L DIESEL ENGINES
CONDITION

General Motors has determined that some 1985 Electras were assembled with the vacuum hoses reversed at the Vacuum Regulator Valve (VRV). This may cause harsh transaxle shifts and could result in accelerated clutch lining wear.

VEHICLES INVOLVED

Certain 1985 Electras with 4.3L diesel engines.
