1. Disconnect ground cables from batteries.
2. Remove accessory drive belts.
3. Remove crankshaft pulley and harmonic balancer.
4. Using tool BT-6406, remove front oil seal, Fig. 28.
5. Apply suitable sealer to outside diameter of new oil seal.
6. File .020 inch from flange of tool No. J-25264, Fig. 29, to prevent tool from contacting oil slinger before seal is properly seated in front cover.
7. Using tool BT-6611, install new oil seal, Fig. 30.
8. Install harmonic balancer and crankshaft pulley.
9. Install and tension accessory drive belts.
