MODELS AFFECTED: 1982-1985 SKYHAWKS AND 1985 SOMERSET REGALS
This bulletin supersedes 85-5-2, dated February, 1985..
BRAKE PAD KITS - OLD AND NEW:
1982-1984 Skyhawks and some early production 1985 Skyhawks and 1985 Somerset Regals may have been assembled with front brake pads which had a chamfer on the leading and rear edge of the linings. Refer to illustration.
Current production Skyhawks and Somerset Regals are using non-chamfered front disc pads.
Front disc brake noise can be reduced on 1982-1984 Skyhawks, early 1985 Skyhawks and early 1985 Somerset Regals by the installation of non-chamfered disc pads.
