Temperature Gauge: Description and Operation

Voltage is applied from the electronic instrument panel to the coolant temperature sender. Coolant temperature resistance changes with engine temperature. Resistance drops from 1.5 K ohms with a cold engine, to less than 77 ohms with a very hot engine.
