Engine Sensors - VIN U:

1. If the gauge reads high with the engine off, remove the connector from the oil pressure switch/sender and ground terminal B (TAN/BLK).
a. If the gauge now reads high with the engine off, install a new oil pressure switch/sender.
b. If the gauge still reads high, locate and repair the open in the TAN/BLK(231) wire between the sender and the cluster.

2. If the oil pressure gauge reads low all the time, remove the connector from the oil pressure switch/sender.
a. If the gauge now reads high, the wiring is good. Install a new oil pressure switch/sender.
b. If the gauge still reads low, locate and repair the short in the TAN/BLK(231) wire between the sender and the cluster.
