SUBJECT: RATTLE OR "GROUND OUT" NOISE ON ACCELERATION

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 SOMERSET REGAL WITH V-6 ENGINE (VIN CODE L)

PRESSURE LINE PIPE LOCATION:

A rattle or ground out noise on acceleration may be caused by the power steering pressure line pipe contacting the blower motor when the engine rolls toward the cowl under torque. See figure.

Should this condition be encountered, the correction is to reposition the pressure line pipe to gain adequate clearance..
