Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Locate the proportioning valve under the vehicle.
2. Remove the proportioning valve from the brake line.
3. Plug the brake lines to prevent excess fluid loss.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the proportioning valve into the brake line.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the proportioning valve fittings to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)

2. Bleed the brake system as necessary. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Flushing.
