Engine Mount Replacement - Left



Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side (RWD)

Removal Procedure





1. Discharge the air conditioning (A/C) system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging) .
2. Remove the tower brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (DX) (Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (DX)) .
3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
4. Remove the suction hose (1) from the A/C compressor. Refer to Suction Hose Replacement (LH2) (Suction Hose Replacement)Suction Hose Replacement (LY7) (Suction Hose Replacement) .
5. Position the hose aside to gain access to the engine mount top nut.
6. Lower the vehicle.




7. Remove the nut (1) from the top of the engine mount.
8. Raise the vehicle.
9. Position a screw jack and a block of wood under the engine oil pan.




10. Remove the right and left engine mount lower nut (1).




11. Using the screw jack, raise the engine enough to remove the engine mount (1).




12. Remove the slotted washer (1) located between the engine mount and the frame.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the engine mount to the vehicle. Ensure the slotted washer (1) is properly aligned and located between the engine mount and the frame.
2. Lower the engine onto the engine mount.




3. Install the right and left engine mount lower nut (1).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .



Tighten the nut to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).

4. Remove the screw jack.
5. Lower the vehicle.




6. Install the nut (1) from the top of the engine mount.

Tighten the nut to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).

7. Raise the vehicle.




8. Install the suction hose (1) to the A/C compressor. Refer to Suction Hose Replacement (LH2) (Suction Hose Replacement)Suction Hose Replacement (LY7) (Suction Hose Replacement) .
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Install the tower brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (DX) (Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (DX)) .
11. Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging) .
