Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution: Do NOT attempt to repair or alter the bracket on the child seat restraint system. If the bracket is damaged, replace the entire bracket. Altering the bracket could result in personal injury.
1. Remove the rear shelf panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the bolt that retains the child tether anchor that is being serviced.
3. Remove the child tether anchor from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Important: During installation ensure that the child tether anchors are installed with the anti-rotation tabs firmly seated in the anti-rotation tab holes on the cross car beam.
1. Install the child tether anchor to the cross car beam.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .
2. Install the child tether anchor bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
3. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
