Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the instrument panel insulator panel.
2. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel.





3. Remove the bolts (1) securing the top of the instrument panel compartment to the instrument carrier.





4. Disconnect the dampener (1) from the instrument panel compartment door.





5. Release the instrument panel compartment door stops (1).
6. Swing the door (2) down to access the fasteners on the bottom of the instrument panel compartment.





7. Remove the bolts (1) securing the bottom of the instrument panel compartment to the instrument carrier.





8. Remove the instrument panel compartment (1) secured by retainers to the instrument carrier.
9. Disconnect the electrical connections.

Installation Procedure

1. When replacing the instrument panel compartment, transfer all necessary components.
2. Connect the electrical connections.





3. Install the instrument panel compartment (1) to the instrument carrier.





4. Install the bolts (1) securing the bottom of the instrument panel compartment to the instrument carrier.





5. Return the instrument panel compartment door stops (1) to there original position.





6. Connect the dampener (1) to the instrument panel compartment door.





7. Install the bolts (1) securing the top of the instrument panel compartment to the instrument carrier.
8. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel.
9. Install the instrument panel insulator panel.
