Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Place drain pans under the vehicle.
2. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.
4. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Service and Repair.
5. Release the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering fluid reservoir.
6. Release the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (1) from the plastic clip (2).
7. Release the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (1) from the plastic clip (2).
8. Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (1) from the power steering fluid cooler.
9. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the power steering fluid reservoir hose (1) in the vehicle.
2. Connect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (1) to the power steering fluid cooler.
Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution Component Fastener Tightening Caution.
3. After the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (1) is fully installed, tighten the hose fitting to 34 Nm (25 lb ft).
4. Secure the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (1) in the plastic clip (2).
5. Secure the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (1) in the plastic clip (2).
6. Connect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering fluid reservoir and secure with the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose clamp (1).
7. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
8. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Service and Repair.
9. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.
10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding Service and Repair.
