Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front door trim panel. Service and Repair
2. Remove the front door water deflector. Service and Repair
3. Remove the front door inner energy absorber. Service and Repair
4. Remove the front door outside rearview mirror. Service and Repair
5. Remove the front door outer belt sealing strip. Service and Repair
6. Remove the front door window. Front Side Door Window Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Front Side Door Window Replacement).
7. Remove the front door frame applique. Refer to Front Door Frame Applique Replacement (Monte Carlo) ().
8. Remove the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Monte Carlo) Service and Repair
9. Remove the front door outer energy absorber. Refer to Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement (Monte Carlo - Outer) (Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Outer))Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement (Monte Carlo - Inner) (Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner)).
10. Remove the front door outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Service and Repair).
11. Remove the front door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Monte Carlo) ().
12. Remove the front door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Front Side Door Lock Replacement).
13. Remove the front door window channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Door Window Weatherstrip).
14. Remove the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Wiring Conduit Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Front Side Door Wiring Conduit Replacement).
15. Remove the front door wiring harness. Refer to Door Wiring Harness Replacement. Service and Repair
16. Remove the front door body side moldings. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
17. Support the front door.
18. Remove the door side hinge. Refer to Door Hinge Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Service and Repair).
19. Remove the front door from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the front door to the vehicle with an assistant.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the front door side hinge. Refer to Door Hinge Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Service and Repair).

Tighten the front door hinge bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft).

3. Install the front door wiring harness. Refer to Door Wiring Harness Replacement. Service and Repair
4. Install the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Wiring Conduit Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Front Side Door Wiring Conduit Replacement).
5. Install the front door body side moldings. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
6. Install the front door outer energy absorber. Refer to Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement (Monte Carlo - Outer) (Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Outer))Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement (Monte Carlo - Inner) (Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner)).
7. Install the front door window channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Door Window Weatherstrip).
8. Install the front door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Front Side Door Lock Replacement).
9. Install the front door inside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Monte Carlo) ().
10. Install the front door outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Service and Repair).
11. Install the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Monte Carlo) Service and Repair
12. Install the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Impala) (Front Side Door Window Replacement)Front Side Door Window Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Front Side Door Window Replacement).
13. Install the front door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Door Window Sealing Strip).
14. Install the front door outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Power Mirror Replacement).
15. Install the front door inner energy absorber. Refer to Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement (Monte Carlo - Outer) (Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Outer))Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement (Monte Carlo - Inner) (Front Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Inner)).
16. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. Service and Repair
17. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. Service and Repair
18. Inspect the front door for proper operation and alignment. Refer to Door Adjustment (Front) (Adjustments)
