Lower Control Arm Ball Joint Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the control arm. Refer to Control Arm Replacement Service and Repair.

2. Drill off the heads of the 2 rivets with a 12 mm (0.47 in) drill bit.

3. Punch out the rivets with a drift.

Installation Procedure

1. Connect the ball joint to the control arm by inserting 2 ball joint bolts from below the control arm.

Tighten the ball joint-to-control arm nuts to 100 Nm (74 lb ft).

2. Install the control arm. Refer to Control Arm Replacement Service and Repair.
