Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (Hatchback)


Removal Procedure





1.Remove the screws and the mud guards.

2.Remove the screws and the splash shields.

3.Remove the screws behind the fascia.





1.Remove the nuts behind the rear bumper energy absorber.





1.Remove the rear cargo area trim panels.

Refer to Cargo Area Side Trim Panel Replacement .

2.Remove the bolts in the luggage compartment.





1.Remove the bolts and the exterior trim panels beneath the tail lamps.

2.Remove the fascia screws beneath the tail lamps.





1.Remove the rear upper fascia screws.

2.Remove the fascia.

Installation Procedure





Notice:Refer to Fastener Notice .

1.Install the fascia with the rear upper fascia screws.

TightenTighten the rear upper fascia screws to 1.5 N �m (13 lb in).





1.Install the fascia screws beneath the tail lamps.

2.Install the exterior trim panels beneath the tail lamps with the bolts.

TightenTighten the trim panel bolts to 10 N �m (89 lb in).





1.Install the bolts in the luggage compartment.

TightenTighten the luggage compartment fascia bolts to 5.5 N �m (49 lb in).





1.Install the rear cargo area trim panels.

Refer to Cargo Area Side Trim Panel Replacement .

2.Install the nuts behind the rear bumper energy absorber.

TightenTighten the rear bumper energy absorber nuts to 27 N �m (20 lb ft).





1.Install the screws behind the fascia.

TightenTighten the screws behind the fascia to 5.5 N �m (49 lb in).

2.Install the splash shields with the screws.

TightenTighten the splash shield screws to 1.5 N �m (13 lb in).

3.Install the mud guards with the screws.

TightenTighten the mud guard screws to 1.5 N �m (13 lb in).
