Transmission Fluid Cooler Lower Pipe Replacement - Intermediate to Differential Cooler
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
2. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
Important: Cap or plug the open transmission fluid cooler pipes immediately to prevent system contamination.
3. Disconnect the intermediate transmission fluid cooler lower pipe from the rear transmission lower pipe. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Replacement) .
4. Remove the transmission cooler pipe clip.
5. Remove the rear transmission lower pipe from the differential oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Replacement) .
6. Remove the rear transmission fluid cooler lower pipe from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the rear transmission fluid cooler lower pipe to the vehicle.
2. Connect the rear transmission fluid cooler lower pipe to the intermediate transmission fluid cooler lower pipe. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Replacement) .
3. Connect the rear transmission fluid cooler lower pipe to the differential oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Replacement) .
4. Install the transmission fluid cooler pipes clip.
5. Check the transmission fluid level, add fluid if necessary. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection (Transmission Fluid Level Inspection) .
6. Remove the drain pan.
7. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
