Valve Lifter Oil Manifold Replacement

Removal Procedure


Important: The lifter oil manifold assembly (LOMA) connector must be disconnected from the lower intake manifold before removing the lower intake manifold.






1. Remove the lower intake manifold. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (Service and Repair) .

Important: Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the oil passages of the manifold. Plug as required.


2. Remove the valve lifter oil manifold bolts (1).
3. Remove the valve lifter oil manifold (2).
4. Remove and discard the LOMA oil manifold filter (3).
5. Remove and discard the valve lifter oil manifold gasket (4).



Installation Procedure






Important:
* All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly.

* Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the oil passages of the manifold. Plug as required.

* Do not reuse the manifold gasket. Always install a NEW service gasket during assembly.

* Do not reuse the LOMA oil manifold filter. Always install a NEW filter during assembly.



1. Install a NEW oil manifold gasket (4).
2. Install a NEW oil manifold filter (3) in the oil manifold (2).
3. Install the oil manifold (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

4. Install the oil manifold bolts (1).

Tighten the manifold bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).


Important: The lifter oil manifold assembly (LOMA) connector must be disconnected from the lower intake manifold before installing the lower intake manifold.


5. Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (Service and Repair) .
