17. Lower Intake Manifold Removal

Lower Intake Manifold Removal






Important: NEVER remove the lower intake manifold with the fuel injection wiring harness and lifter oil manifold assembly (LOMA) connector attached. Failure to do so may cause damage to the LOMA and LOMA wiring connector.


1. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor (1).
2. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor (2).




3. Remove the LOMA connector bolts.
4. Disconnect the LOMA connector.
5. Remove the fuel injector rail bolts.
6. Remove the fuel rail assembly.




7. Remove the lower intake manifold bolts and discard.
8. Remove the lower intake manifold.
