Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the intake manifold cover.
2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid electrical connector (1).
3. Disconnect the chassis EVAP pipe from the EVAP canister purge solenoid.




4. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt.
5. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve.

Installation Procedure




1. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).




3. Connect the chassis EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister purge solenoid.
4. Connect the EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector (1).
5. Install the intake manifold cover.
