Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. If equipped with a 3.5L or 3.9L engine, remove the catalytic converters.
2. If equipped with a 2.2L engine remove the exhaust manifold pipe.
3. Remove the heat shield nuts.
4. Remove the heat shield.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the heat shield to the underbody and the dash panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the heat shield nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. If equipped with a 2.2L engine, install the exhaust manifold pipe.
4. If equipped with a 3.5L or 3.9L engine, install the catalytic converters.
