High Mounted Stop Lamp Replacement (Extended Sedan)

Removal Procedure




1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the liftgate upper trim panel.
3. Remove the nuts from the center high-mounted stop lamp.
4. Push upward slightly on the center high-mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) to unseat the lamp from the liftgate.
5. From the outside of the liftgate, carefully pull the CHMSL outward to clear the rear spoiler and the liftgate window.




6. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Position the CHMSL to the liftgate. Carefully seat the CHMSL into the lamp opening.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. From the underside of the liftgate, install the nuts to the CHMSL.

Tighten the center high-mounted stop lamp bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Close the liftgate.
