Front Side Door Window Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Position the front door window in the full down position.
2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
5. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement) .
6. Loosen the bolts (1) to the front and rear clevice clamps.
7. Remove the window from the outside of the front door.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the window between the inner and the outer door panels.
2. Point the lower front corner of the window down and pass through the belt opening.
3. Align the edges with the window weatherstrip channel.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
4. Turn the window to a horizontal position and align the window with the front and rear clevice clamps.
Tighten the front and rear clevice clamps bolts (1) to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
5. Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement) .
Important: Do not allow the sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip to roll over and point downwards. If this condition is present the window will not raise properly.
6. Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Install the inner trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
