Muffler Replacement (Sedan LTZ, Maxx LTZ)

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
2. Remove the rear catalytic converter to muffler nuts.




3. With the aid of an assistant, separate the muffler insulators (1) from the hangers.
4. Remove the muffler assembly.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the muffler assembly.
2. With the aid of an assistant, install the muffler insulators (1) to the hangers.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the rear catalytic converter to muffler nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

4. Lower the vehicle.
