Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle

Disassembly Procedure

1. Place the power steering pump on a fixed, flat surface, with the shaft facing upward.




2. Remove the 2 power steering pump reservoir retaining tabs.
Using a screwdriver, position the retaining clip tab outward and slide the reservoir clips way from the power steering pump assembly.




3. Remove the power steering pump reservoir from the power steering pump housing.
Remove and discard the O-ring seal.



Assembly Procedure





1. Lubricate the NEW O-ring seal with power steering fluid and install it onto the neck of the power steering pump reservoir.
2. Install the reservoir to the power steering pump.
Press the reservoir into the pump until the neck is completely engaged onto the power steering pump assembly.




3. Align the feet of the reservoir with the sides of the hydraulic pump housing.
4. Install the 2 power steering reservoir retaining clips. Ensure the retaining clip tabs fully engage with the power steering pump housing.
