Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
2. Disconnect evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge tube quick connect fitting (1) at the upper intake manifold.
3. Disconnect EVAP canister purge tube quick connect fitting (2) at the EVAP purge solenoid valve.



4. Remove the EVAP canister purge tube from under the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube and from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the EVAP canister purge tube to the vehicle and route the purge tube under the PCV tube.




2. Connect EVAP canister purge tube quick connect fitting (2) at the EVAP purge solenoid valve.
3. Connect EVAP canister purge tube quick connect fitting (1) at the upper intake manifold.
4. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
