Subject: Installation of Non-GM Approved Aftermarket Products

Models:
2011-2012 Chevrolet Volt

The following information provides some general guidelines and considerations if electrical loads are planned for installation to the Chevrolet Volt.

This vehicle is not designed to accommodate significant aftermarket accessory current draw.

Caution
Adding electrical current draw in excess of the values shown in this bulletin can cause vehicle performance issues and may impact the vehicle's warranty.

- Connect only to APOs (Accessory Power Outlet) in vehicle.
-ALL APO/Circuits are on the Retained Accessory Power bus/relay circuit to eliminate the possibility of parasitic draws.

- 15 total amps steady state draw maximum.
-15 amps can be supplied by one APO or spread across all three.

- Exceeding 15 total amps may cause erratic vehicle operation.
-12V battery drain, load shedding, range reduction.
