Lubricate
    Doors
Lubricate body hinges and latches, key lock cylinders, hood latch assemblies, secondary latches, pivots, spring anchor and release pawl, hood and door hinges, rear folding seats, and liftgate hinges. More frequent lubrication may be required when the vehicle is exposed to a corrosive environment. Applying silicone grease on weatherstrips with a clean cloth makes them last longer, seal better, and not stick or squeak.

    Steering and Suspension

Look for any other loose or damaged safety belt system parts. If you see anything that might keep a safety belt system from doing its job, have it repaired. Have any torn or frayed safety belts replaced. Also look for any opened or broken air bag coverings, and have them repaired or replaced. The air bag system does not need regular maintenance.
    Parking Brake System
Refer to Park Brake Mechanism Check in Scheduled Maintenance.
    Neutral Safety Switch
Refer to Propulsion System Start Check in Scheduled Maintenance.

Inspect other brake parts, including calipers, parking brake, etc.
    Air Filter Element
Inspect engine air cleaner filter. If necessary, replace filter. If you drive regularly under dusty conditions, inspect the filter, at each engine oil change.
    Accelerator Pedal

Replace
    Oil Filter, Engine
Check the engine oil filter for corrosion if driving in a corrosive environment, such as areas of high humidity, along an ocean coast, and/or areas that apply road salt during winter. Replace the engine oil and filter if the filter shows signs of corrosion.
