Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




2. Remove the front stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolt (1).




3. Remove the rear stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolt (1).

4. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp.




5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator (1).

2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp.

Note: Do not tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts until instructed.

3. Loosely install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Tighten the front stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolt (1) to 58 Nm (43 lb ft).




5. Tighten the rear stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolt (1) to 58 Nm (43 lb ft).
