Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair
2. Remove the insulator clamp bolt (1).
3. Remove the insulator clamp nut (1).
4. Remove the insulator clamp (1).
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator (1).
2. Install the insulator clamp (1).
3. Loosely install the insulator clamp nut (1).
4. Loosely install the insulator clamp bolt (1).
Note: Only tighten the insulator clamp bolt and nut enough to draw the insulator clamp to the rear suspension support.
5. Tighten the insulator clamp bolt and nut alternately and evenly until the insulator clamp is drawn to the rear suspension support.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
6. Tighten the insulator clamp bolt to 110 Nm (81 lb ft).
7. Lower the vehicle and tighten the insulator clamp nut to 60 Nm (44 lb ft) + 60 degrees.
