Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .




3. Remove the fluid level drain plug (1).

4. Drain transmission fluid into a suitable container.




5. Disconnect transmission fluid cooler pipe (2) from transmission fluid auxiliary cooler and radiator. Remove 2 retainers (1) and retainer clip (3). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection.

6. Remove the fluid cooler hose/pipe from pipe retainer.

7. Remove transmission fluid cooler pipe (2).

8. Remove the fluid cooler hose/pipe from pipe retainer.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the fluid cooler hose/pipe from pipe retainer.




2. Install transmission fluid cooler pipe (2).

Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution Component Fastener Tightening Caution.

3. Connect transmission fluid cooler pipe (2) to transmission fluid auxiliary cooler and radiator. Install 2 retainers (1). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the fluid level drain plug (1) and tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb in).

5. Top up transmission fluid and check transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill Service and Repair.

6. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .

7. Install battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement Service and Repair.
