Choke Rod

Do not remove rivets or choke cover to place choke valve in the closed position.
1. Use a rubber band on vacuum break lever tang to hold choke valve closed.
2. Rotate degree scale until zero is opposite pointer, Fig. 6, then with choke valve completely closed, place magnet squarely on top of choke valve and rotate bubble until centered.
3. Rotate degree scale until specified adjustment setting is opposite pointer. Refer to Specifications Chart for proper adjustment settings.
4. Place cam follower on second step of fast idle cam and next to high step. Close choke by pushing upward on choke coil lever. To adjust, bend tang on fast idle lever until bubble is centered.
