SHUT OFF VALVE INSTALLATION:

Comments have been received of vehicles with gage packages and air conditioning indicating high engine coolant temperature after the engine has run only a few minutes. This incorrect gage reading can be corrected by installing a coolant shut off valve, P/N 14044414 (view A).

This new valve has the same function as the existing valve. (View B) The difference is that in the closed position, the new valve recirculates coolant back to the engine instead of dead heading the engine out line. There are two (2) sets of valve inlet and outlet ports. One (1) set is for the engine out line (similar to the current valve hook up). The other set of ports are installed in the engine return line by cutting the hose. Two (2) clamps, P/N 14052374, are required.
