Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

1982-83

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Pull headlight switch knob to ``On'' position.
3. Reach up under instrument panel and depress headlight switch shaft retainer button while gently pulling on switch control shaft knob to remove control shaft.
4. Remove three headlight switch trim plate retaining screws, then the trim plate.
5. Using a suitable screwdriver, remove switch ferrule nut.
6. Working behind instrument panel, remove switch wiring connector, then the switch.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
