A new composition gasket, P/N 14089252, is available for service use on all 2.8L V6 engines.

This gasket replaces the RTV sealant and is to be used for repair of rocker arm cover oil leaks and general service work.

A small amount (DAB) of GM sealer must be applied at the cylinder head - intake manifold split line prior to the gasket installation.

The rocker arm cover attaching bolts must be torqued to 8.5 to 10 N-m (75-90 in.lbs.).
