Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then disconnect exhaust pipe.
3. If removing left manifold, remove rear manifold bolts and nut, then lower vehicle.. Disconnect air management hoses and wires, remove power steering bracket, if equipped, and remove manifold.
4. If removing right manifold, lower vehicle, remove manifold attaching bolts, disconnect air management hose and remove manifold.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Clean mating surfaces on manifold and head, then install manifold in position and torque manifold bolts to 25 ft. lbs.
