Water Pump: Service and Repair

Fig. 12 Water Pump Replacement:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain cooling system.
3. Remove drive belt and upper fan shroud.
4. Remove fan and clutch assembly, then the water pump pulley.
5. Remove all hoses from the water pump.
6. Remove water pump attaching bolts and the water pump Fig. 12.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten water pump to specification.
