Fuel Meter Assembly

Fuel Meter Assembly:

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect electrical connector from fuel injector.
2. Remove the grommet with wires from the fuel meter assembly.
3. Remove the inlet and outlet line nuts, using backup wrench.
4. Remove fuel line o-rings from nuts and discard.
5. Remove TBI mounting hardware.
6. Remove the two fuel meter attaching screw and washer assemblies.
7. Remove the fuel meter assembly from the throttle body assembly.
8. Remove the fuel meter body to throttle body gasket and discard.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install a new fuel meter body to throttle body gasket. Match cut-out portions of the gasket with openings in throttle body assembly.
2. Install the fuel meter body assembly.
3. Install the two fuel meter body attaching screw and washer assemblies that have been coated with the appropriate locking compound. Tighten attaching screws to 6.0 Nm (53.0 lb-in).
4. Install the throttle body mounting hardware. Tighten the mounting hardware to 17.0 Nm (12.0 lb-ft.).
5. Install new o-rings on the fuel line nuts.
6. Install fuel inlet and outlet nuts by hand. Tighten inlet and outlet nuts to 27.0 Nm (20.0 lb-ft.). Use a back-up wrench to keep TBI nuts from turning.
7. Install grommet with wires to the fuel meter assembly.
8. Connect electrical connector to the fuel injector, making sure it is fully seated and latched.
9. With the engine OFF and the ignition ON, check for fuel leaks around the fuel line nuts.
